That was a sick play by Escobar and Infante, but sheesh, Molina has to drive that pitch.

That's not going to help Matheny's boner for Ellis.

What in the HELL was it going to take to get someone warming?

Home runs are a highly effective way of scoring runs

Three home runs in the last four games. That might be a season-high.

A disastrous loss, Ricky.

This team isn't as good as people thought. There are certainly pieces, but this isn't a championship team.

This team is going to have to face an uncomfortable truth--Holliday is starting to show his age. You can't have a #3 hitter batting .270 with 3 HR sixty games into the season.
Matheny will never make the change, nor is he likely to switch Holliday in the lineup, but a less stubborn manager would accept that Holliday isn't the player he was 3-4 years ago.

As Holliday's biggest defender, I'm afraid you're right.
Tonight might be the worst loss of the season. I really don't understand what Matheny was waiting for in that fifth inning.

Maybe we didn't give Pete Kozma enough credit.

This teams only hope is a wild card spot. Starting pitching is starting to come back to a more expectable level and the offense is as dry as grandmas vagina. The only thing this team is good at is screwing up.
