6/4 Gamecrap

Watching A 's/Yankees and I think I saw a horse named "Matuszak" in the Belmont lineup? Is there a horse named after the late Tooz?

Re: 6/4 Gamecrap

There cannot be a team that protects the plate worse than the Cardinals. It's impossible.

Re: 6/4 Gamecrap

Rex Hudler makes Al Hrabosky seem insightful.

"Is there a horse named after the late Tooz?"

After he dies and they melt him down, he's going to be Crazy Glue.

Re: 6/4 Gamecrap

I wonder if MM thought for even half a second about keeping Wainwright in the batting order and DH'ing for a position player.

Hudler: "Bob Gibson is arguably the best pitcher in the history of the Cardinals organization."

Arguably?

Jose DeLeon is a close 2nd.

Is there a team policy against swinging close at two-strike pitches.

I hope Matheny doesn't give up on Grichuk.

Now he's making up words.
"Buddy Biancalana legitified his first round status by helping the Royals win the 1985 World Series."

They're building Vargas' pitch count.

I don't know who has the weaker 3-4-5 right now.

The Padres just finished off the Pirates, 3-2. The Padres scored three runs on one hit.

That's the second time Cain has forgotten there were two outs.

Re: 6/4 Gamecrap

This is not about getting Wainwright merit badges; he has no business coming out for the ninth inning.

Re: 6/4 Gamecrap

They're going to lose this game because Molina couldn't find a third strike in the dirt. Wonderful.

Re: 6/4 Gamecrap

There are several reasons why this team isn't as good as last years team. The bullpen is a big part. Rosenthal isn't an effective closer right now.
