6/20 GC

Are they going to try to get this one in, or is it a washout?

Re: 6/20 GC

The Cardinals need to trade for Ryan Howard, if only so their pitchers don't have to face him.

Re: 6/20 GC

A double play on a 3-0 fastball up and away. Holliday is finding new and creative ways of 4-6-3's.

Re: 6/20 GC

Holliday swings at a 3-0 pitch and GIDP.
I'm getting really really tired of watching the Cardinals play shitty baseball.

This team is a chore to watch

Re: 6/20 GC

And Peralta rolls over and grounds out meekly to third.
The comforting part is these guys are constantly making adjustments at the plate so they're not doing the same things that have made them the 13th-best offense in the league so far.

Re: 6/20 GC

Adams has played well on the field.

Re: 6/20 GC

The Cardinals should do that surprise welcome from a soldier with two gay guys or the manliest lesbians they can find. The BFIB might break Twitter.

Re: 6/20 GC

For the second time in three games, an opposing pitcher who has been a lousy, awful hitter for more than a decade comes up with a key extra base hit.
Keep doing what you're doing, Mike. Whatever it is, it's working splendidly.

Re: 6/20 GC

Good thing they tried to squeeze that extra inning out of Garcia.

Re: 6/20 GC

Good thing Garcia came out for the sixth. It looked for a little while like the Cardinals might have a chance.
Marlon Byrd is better than any position player on the Cardinals' roster. Seriously. Check the stats.

Re: 6/20 GC

Might as well call it a night. There's no way this feckless lineup will score five runs against the mighty Phillies.

Re: 6/20 GC

Wow. How's that Edwin Encarnacion trade working out for you, Walt?

Re: 6/20 GC

Hey, who wants to bet me $50 that Carpenter takes a first-pitch fastball down the middle for strike one?

Re: 6/20 GC

And he takes not one but two fastballs down the middle to start the at bat.
Keep grinding, Matty. Remember, it's not whether you get on base, it's about working the pitch count.

Re: 6/20 GC

Yeah, I'm all about working counts and waiting for good pitches to hit, but Carpenter can't be afraid to jump on a hittable first pitch every once in awhile.
