Brewer Amy is the only good thing about the cesspool in Milwaukee.

Lynn is strong, but he's gotta get by Chacin.

Did Weiss bring in the infield with Adams at the plate?

Yes, he did.

Good baserunning by Jay.

I would've been disappointed if Adams went without a home run in this series.
Cardinals are now 24th in MLB in home runs in June. Whoo!

The sausage race is OK. I think they thought of it, so at least it's original.

I hope there's someone in the Cardinals dugout saying "You can never score enough runs in this ballpark."
Especially when they start using the non-humidor balls in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Despite all the self-congratulatory bullshit the Cardinals uttered about Lynn's weight loss last year, Fat Lance is a better pitcher than Skinny Lance.

Obligatory:
Franklin L(3-1) 0.1 6 6 6 0 0 2 7
That was the game, come hell or high water, Franklin was going to finish.

Home runs seem to be an efficient way to score runs. We should try that more often.

Hell of a great catch by jay!
I agree fat lynn is a good lynn.
What is the opinion of holiday batting second? I love it. Adams needs to be in a rbi spot and holliday no longer does.

It is so easy it is almost like cheating

Choate can't be trusted to face a right-handed hitter with two outs and an 8-run lead in the ninth?

That game left a worse imprint on my brain than 8th grade algebra.

That game summed up the 2010 season pretty well.

Wasn't that the year the Reds went something like 30-1 in August? Not even the return of Aaron Miles could have saved that team.

It was the year the Cardinals went to Cincinnati, kicked their asses in a sweep, then fell flat on their faces, beginning with an embarrassing series loss to the Cubs, a two-game sweep at shitty Milwaukee, two of three losses to the Giants, two of three losses to the shitty Pirates, three of four losses to the shitty Nationals and an embarrassing sweep in Houston.
They went from being one game up on the Reds on August 13, to seven back by the time they came to St. Louis for a meaningless Labor Day series.

Also, it's amazing that La Russa came back in 2011 after that season. Just to illustrate what a bunch of underacheivers they were, the Cardinals went 18-27 against the Brewers, Astros and Cubs, winners of 77, 76 and 75 games respectively.

Was that the series when Cueto kicked Jason LaRue in the head with metal spikes so many times LaRue had to retire?

Correct. The Cardinals handed Janey her ass that night, too.

Has she pitched in St. Louis since? I know she's faced the Cardinals in Cncinnati. I recall there was one series when she didn't travel with the Reds due to some sort of "family emergency" which the Reds never explained further.

I just watched that video. I don't know who is doing color commentary for the Reds, but he said "if Chris Carpenter isn't whining about players on other teams, he's whining about his own players" a reference to Carpenter scolding Brendan Ryan the night before.
I forgot just how unprofessional the entire Reds organization is, down its own broadcast team.

Twice in 2011, once in 2012.

Without even hearing the broadcast, that would be Thom Brennaman. He HATED Carpenter. Remember the whole fireworks issue, when Brennaman complained about Carpenter "complaining incessantly?" It turned out Carpenter never complained about the fireworks. And he still blames Molina for starting the fight.
