The Cardinals are already working on their excuses for why they aren't going to hit Flande. "Lack of video" will surely come up.
Offline
Peralta apparently doesn't need the video.

How does Adams not score on a 3-2 pitch struck for a double?

With two outs, no less. Not watching but I'd love to have seen how that went down.

Bet he throws the change on 2-2.

Dickerson played it well, but Adams seemed crossed up.
Regardless of how well the rest of this game goes for Gonzales, he just carved up Troy Tulowitzki. That change-up is filthy.

Gonzales just shamed Molina and Craig.

You can really tell the difference between the way the Cards and Rockies approach a pitcher. The Rockies know Gonzales is going to throw the change, so they stay back on it. The Cardinals walk to the plate and hack at anything close.

I'm going on record as saying the final score of this game will not be 5-4.

He got lost and had to ask Tulo for directions at second base.

Holliday seems pretty locked in at Coors.
Offline
Molina and Craig are killing the Cardinals today.
Offline
Neshek in Coors could get rough.

What could go wrong with a 1-run lead in this ballpark?

Tulo's at bat lasted 12 minutes.

.....and 41 pitches later

It's pretty shitty that the Cardinals have won 12 of 17 and picked up a whole half game in the standings.

And if they can't catch what's in front of them, they'd better watch what's in back of them. I think read yesterday the Pirates have the BRIB since June 6.

For better or worse, we still have 13 games left against the Brewers.
You must have misread the story Artie. Since June 6, the Pirates are 11-8. The Cardinals (12-6), Brewers (12-7) and Reds (12-7) all have better records than the Pirates since June 6, and that's just within the division.

I believe the proper end point is May 6, because the Pirates are 27-19. MLB Network showed the graphic yesterday that had them near the top.

Yes, May 6. I misremembered. Sorry.
