Chance for a sweep. Miller needs to be on his game.

So ready for a Miller demotion.

Just a routine 5-8 force out.

Why can the Cardinals not hit Volquez? FFS.
Offline
Pirates announcers implying the Cardinals are mailing it in or just going for the fences.

How long do the Cardinals stick with Motte?

Motte should be gone after this year, Miller is so red-assin' now he may not be far behind .....

Pirates had runners on first and second and I think 0 outs with Sideshow Bob at the plate. He tries to sacrifice, but pops the ball straight up and right at Carpenter. The ball wasn't high enough for an infield fly, so Carpenter decides to let it drop and try for a double play. He lets the ball hit, turns and fires to 2nd, but there's no one there. Wong had gone to cover 1st and Peralta had gone to cover 3rd. Jay was playing center and was racing in to back up the play. Jay fields the ball on 1 hop and out runs the runner on first to second base for the force out.
Hence, a 5-8 force out.
