The Cardinals are not in the business of developing young talent. Apparently, they're in the business of playing underperforming veterans instead. I guess sticking with a guy who is now 7 for his last 51 is the best way to "win today."

Ugly stat: Only five percent of the 68 fly balls Craig has hit this season have gone to left field. Pete Kozma had a 15 percent rate a year ago.
Someone should ask Matheny why the Cardinals hired him seeing as how they aren't in the developmental business.

On the other side of stubborness, the phillys have benched howard and the story i read said they may ŕelease him with 60mil left on his contract. I know howard isnt good in any part of his game but release him? He has 15hrs...surely there is value in that wether it be by trade or off the bench.

I'm just going to go ahead and bump this thread every time Craig starts (and goes 0-fer) while Taveras sits against a RH pitcher.
This team has become unwatchable.

Is feeble a word ?

Bourjos and Craig are having similar seasons. Bourjos is a better defender than Jay, who is a better defender than Craig. If you're going to play someone who can't hit, it may as well be a guy who can play defense.

Jay is interesting. He doesnt go away.
