Can't say if El Diablo is trying to stir up some shit, but this sounds like irreconcilable differences to me.
All I know about "thoracic outlet syndrome" is it's what ended Chris Carpenter's career.

All I know about Garcia is that he was a decent pitcher when he was healthy, and hasn't been healthy or decent in a very long time.... And we're giving him a lot of money not to pitch at all.

When he was healthy, his stuff was downright nasty; but many of us sat on pins and needles if his head was still in the game . Maybe a lot of that was the beginning of a physical problem that the Cardinals staff (Med. and others ) should have addressed , but couldn't , or wouldn't. Hell I don't know . Frustration has set in everywhere . In a strange way I feel sorry for both Garcia and the Cardinals organization ........

I think both of you have nailed it. Garcia is like an high-end sports car - when it's running right, it's a sight to behold, but it's delicate as hell, and when it's not running right, you end up paying too much money for too much time in the shop.

I wrote garcia off along time ago.

John Gast had a terrible four-game stretch in June/July but since has allowed 3 ER in 23.2 IP. Cooney, Whiting, Petrick, and Lyons have been good lately also. Maybe some help from Memphis is forthcoming?
