Unless Garza ends up injured, Roenicke will have some explaining to do about the decision to pinch hit for Garza.

Yeah, I was surprised he went there.
The two guys who needed to perform big today did their jobs. And Matt Holliday is on fire.

In fairness, he's probably right.

He's probably right, but piss up a rope, Garza. Your team has been dodging bullets named Michael Wacha and Yadier Molina. Only the GD Brewers would be running around acting like they're the only ones dealing with injuries.

If you listen to what's been coming out of the clubhouse in Cncinnati, you'd think southern Ohio has been afflicted by the Black Plague this season.

I'm pleased Lackey pitched well. I wondered about Matheny's health when he went out to talk to him with two outs in the top of the seventh, but then again someone trying to knock some snese in the manager isn't the worst thing that could happen.

It was a good first game for him. I hope he knows what he needs to do to win in stl now. Hold the other team to less then 3 runs. He better take some swings inmthe cage tho. Sometimes the pitcher needs to hit a three run shot to win as well.
Really tho. I didnt see alot of the game. Lackey seemed to pound the zone and worked at a decent pace.

Yeah, he certainly seems to be a much quicker worker than Masterson.
