He had a good game.  The teams seems to just be hanging on barely.

After this Masterson performance , is too much to ask Robinson and Descalso to go back to back taters soon ?

The Marlins' accouncers were literally laughing at Matheny when he brought in Rosenthal for the final out ... "Who cares if it's a one-out save with a three-run lead? All that matters is it counts in arbitration!!"
The Cardinals have a 4-game series with the similarly low-scoring Padres starting today. Think Rosenthal may be needed in at least a couple of those games? Seriously, if Siegrist can't be trusted to get three outs without giving up five runs, he shouldn't be on the team.

Feels like every 3 days I get an announcement from ESPN that begins with "Cardinals avoid sweep".

That's because I am. We'll have to all fly in and get together for a celebratory evening when the Cardinals ever win 2 out of 3 or (this is just a pipe dream I know) actually sweep one themselves.

I wish they'd either win 10 in a row or lose 10 in a row, so I can know how to plan the next two months. This win two-lose two-win three-lose two pattern they've been on all year is frustrating. It's like a stripper asking for a dollar to show you her g-string. Just take the whole thing off and I'll give you $10.

I know things got sort of out of line with him allowing 2 runs but he still had a 3 run cushion.  I agree let him face one more batter.  Even if he doesnt get him out i would have allowed someone else to finish the game off.  Rosenthal over use is crazy...oops, i hope that doesnt hurt MM feelings.
