    I think that will do it for Justin Masterson's Cardinals career. I think it was a worthy shot, but the guy has lost it. Getting him off the 40-man gives them flexibility to add someone else that could be brought up for the stretch run.

    As soon as Masterson walked the un-walk-able Ben Revere to lead off the game, I started hoping the Pirates would beat the Brewers so the Cardinals didn't lose any ground today.

    Here's my only stipulation. 

    This is all without Yadi.... He seems to be worth about 1.50-2.00 on the ERA of every starter we have. 

    I have no idea how he's THAT much better than the rest of baseball, but he clearly is.
