So this is a good start.

Wacha' command is rusty.

Not a bad return.

This ends badly.

This is the perfect time to try to get Motte going.
Funny how Matheny will say the major leagues aren't for developing players--unless they're veterans.

Matheny is terrible. How do you not have Choate warming up to pitch to Overbay?

So tired of this shit. Matheny is an idiot.

The fact they got out of the inning (helped by a questionable strike 2 call) doesn't change the fact that that was one of the worst jobs of managing I've seen in a long time.
Matheny needs to go back to managing 6th graders.

I wouldn't let him manage a fucking t-ball team. Mozeliak is a better man than I am. I would've placed a call to Bill DeWitt and told him I'm firing dumbass Matheny after the game.

Another hit by another lefty. Glad there are 4 LHP in the pen. I guess these aren't "game changing moments."
Offline
That would've been a good spot for a lefty against Parra.

I hope I'm wrong, but it just doesn't feel like this game ends 3-2

Nope.

Stop bunting, Jon Jay.

Another 25 pitch save for Rosenhausen.

That was one of the most harrowing games I've ever watched. I have a pounding headache, nausea, and no fingernails left.

Milwaukee stranded 9 runners in the last 4 innings.

There were some curious decisions, starting with Motte, who clearly had nothing. I have no idea why you bring in Martinez with two outs. And I don't think he ever had a lefty up.
Bonehead move of the night, however, was Roenicke pinch-running for Aramis Ramirez in the sixth or seventh inning, whichever it was. Think the game might have turned out differently if Ramirez had batted in the ninth instead of some September callup?

The funny part is if you had been listening to the Brewers' version of the broadcast, there's almost resignation that they're going to lose this series and the division because the Cardinals have been tormenting them for so long. Anderson is at least trying to be professional and composed about the whole thing, but you can tell there are times when Schroeder is ripping out clumps of his hair.

Roenicke pinch ran for Ramirez in the 8th, which makes it seem a little less bad of a decision until Milwaukee was able to flip the lineup and Henry Gomez (or whatever the guy's name was) had to bat in the 9th.

I know what he is doing with instant replay but im sick of him strolling out of the dugout 4x a game. I yell everytime he does it.

I do feel like he is getting better by mjxing in the off speed stuff. Had dropped in some nasty stuff. Thats going to set up his fastball alot better then going out there and throwing bullets every night.

That does make it less egregious, but I was still pretty happy to see Ramirez come out of the game.

I think he's mixing in the curve more because he's losing confidence in the location of his fastball. The one fastball he threw for a strike to Weeks last night was up and away and blew right by him, but he started him off and walked him with curves because he's afraid to make a mistake.
