Shutouts and individual stats are nice, but if Matheny sends Wainwright out for the 9th with a 9-0 lead, it's just beyond comprehension.

I'm sure Lucroy was saying this to fire up his team, but it takes a whole lot of hubris to say it after losing three of four:
Jonathan Lucroy on Cardinals: "They always play us good but I still believe we're better than they are. I do."
Lucroy on Cardinals: "All around, player for player matchups, I believe we are (better.)"
