I covered a high school football game in his hometown, and they were dedicating a new field. Tudor actually attended a private prep school in the town next door, but he's had a falling out with his alma mater, and the public school has claimed him. Whenever they have one of these events, they invite Tudor and he expects to be treated like royalty (pun intended). He was ordering the athletic director's daughter around like she was his personal assistant. Then he lost his temper over something and left in a huff before halftime.
He has a reputation for being a major asshole, and this is the second time I've seen him act like a jerk. After he retired from baseball, he played in an amateur league (as a first baseman, not a pitcher) in which I also played. The local paper sent a reporter and a photographer to a game against the team I played on. Apparently, he had only consented to an interview and not having his picture taken, and he went off on the reporter and the photographer. Real nasty shit.
