Cardinals will be three-and-done in October. We're going to see a repeat of '09.

I wouldn't assume they get to play 3.

They will slide by and win the division i think. Then the season will be another success. Matheny will have lead the team to the playoffs 3x since tlr handed over the keys. The cardinals molded the 2014 team out of younger cheaper players. It will all sound good in a headline someplace. Maybe allen craig and joe kelly will get a playoff share.

I think it will be a big picture success because they will likely win 90 games and the division without Wacha and Molina for chunks of the season, plus an offensive disappearing act.

Yes and i give them credit for that. The issues i have are not issues at all really. They somehow won 90 games without being interesting or entertaining at all. That seems stupid to complain about being that most of the league would trade places with the cardinals. Still based on watching alone, they looked like .500 team playing in a .400 division.

Haha, no, you are exactly right, AP. This might just be the most boring 90-win Cardinals team of my lifetime.

"Matheny will have lead the team to the playoffs 3x since tlr handed over the keys."
Yeah, well, Quasimodo probably had the keys to Notre Dame cathedral, but that didn't make him the fucking pope.
He's got the equivalent of the population of Saskatoon in the bullpen, but last night he tries to milk a second inning out of Neshek, who has already pitched more innings this year than he has the last two years combined. And forget about the notion that Neshek has only gone more than one inning three times this year and he's not thrown more than 30 pitches in an appearance, even when the Cardinals had a 25-man roster, let's go full fucking steam ahead to beat the Cubs when there's less than a week to go before you're really going to need him.

It did, but I couldn't resist. I thought my comparison of MM to a hulking, hideous, drooling hunchback was particularly apt.
