Re: Cardinals late season run.

Travel for me is functional.  I need something that gets me from point a to point b.  I dojt need any added enjoyment from what i drive or how cool i look.  Im not sure if u have kids or not.  To me it wouldnt be worth dieing in a motor cycle accident and leave behind my kids just because i wanted to look cool or have some added enjoyment .  You right.  To each this own.  You know they are a danger.  Ever see motor cycle/deer accident?

The story you told is exactly why I never owned/rode a motorcycle.  No matter how careful you are, it only takes one mistake by another driver, and the motorcyclist always loses in an accident.

Re: Cardinals late season run.

Half of the fatal accidents around here are motorcycle or atvs.  Ill decreese my odds of dieing or eating through a straw by half any day of the week.

I'm glad you weren't hurt too badly, Alz.

Re: Cardinals late season run.

Fors I need a small understanding of what to expect for a Pain and Suffering settlement. The wounds are mostly superficial but the hip is a bit problematic. Four days later and I still can't sleep with any weight on it, and walking requires a 30 second to 1 minute warm up before it can really hold much weight. Then it's a pronounced limp until I've been upright for a few minutes.

The bruise is about the width of a soccer ball, and runs from near my groin around my thigh and stops at the back edge of my butt cheek in a fabulous array of deep purple (nearly black), green, red. I missed monday, and I'm going to miss more time visiting the doctor and making sure there's nothing long term of concern.

However, when it comes time to ask what I think I should reasonably expect, I'm at a loss.... You have any ideas?

I don't do any personal injury work, but I've heard that a multiplier of 3 (i.e., take your actual damages (bills, lost work, etc...) and multiply by 3) is a reasonable number.

Based on what you're describing, my main advice would be not to rush anything.  Make sure everything is healed and nothing new pops up before you agree to anything.

Funny thing though, the way you described your hip (can't lay on it, the warm up and the limp) is pretty much my daily morning routine.

And if you could give someone a pain and suffering bill for that, how much would you hope to see?

Your bill is in the mail ....

I played in the USTA tennis leagues for years ; and a good friend of mine (now deceased) who was a huge Cardinal fan and a lawyer sent me a bill one time after I had asked him a law question during a match one day . I called him, and started chewing his ass out ; and he asked me if I bothered to read the very fine print at the bottom of page 3 ?

Re: Cardinals late season run.

Thanks to the Braves winning, our magic number is 3.

On a scale of 1-10 that's about equal with my confidence in us winning a postseason series of any type.
