I would have been OK with a 70-75 pitch outing, like J suggested. Friday would have been his regular day to pitch anyway.

Seemed logical. In fact it gives the dbacks a better chance to win. At least the cards made the playoffs. No division playoff or one game wild card. I still fear the dodgers. As long as they are in the playoffs they have a chance.
Brenly is just an ass who hates the Cardinals. He's interviewing La Russa right now and they can barely hide their contempt for each other.

It will be interesting to see how tlr handles it if the media doesnt blow him like they did in stl. Could be interesting.

This is the first game I've enjoyed because there's nothing at stake ... hey, 90 wins would be kind of neat.

Like St. Louis, Phoenix only has one major newspaper, and much like the fan base, the Arizona Republic has never really been known for its penetrating and intelligent criticism of sports.
