I don't think I've ever seen a team look more uptight than the Royals do tonight.

As bad as I think Mike Matheny is a a manager (and I think he's pretty bad), Ned Yost is much, much worse.

And I couldn't help but laugh at the A's.  The next time Billy Beane suggests that team chemistry is a fallacy, I'd love to hear the explanation of how a team that was 66-41 managed to go 22-34 after trading its most popular player.  I'd have loved to have seen Beane's face when the Royals tied it in the 9th on a single, sacrifice, stolen base and Sac fly.

I didnt watch much of the game.  Al teams bore me.  I did see the stolen base.  Pretty classic.  You could see it coming and they were doing everything they could to stop it but the As couldnt.  Good baseball.  I wish the royals luck.

There were six of them. I think we saw Derek Norris turn into a DH right before our eyes last night.

You'd probably enjoy the Royals.  They were the only team in MLB with fewer HR than the Cardinals; however, unlike the Cardinals who offset their lack of power by also having no speed, the Royals led MLB with 153 SBs.  Last night they tied a record with 7 SB's including, as Artie mentioned, stealing bases when they were behind and conventional wisdom would have said not to run.

The Royals are 2014's version of the 1985 Cardinals.

Emilia Clarke needs to start taking off her clothes again. Absent the nudity, I find all the various story lines hard to follow, and some of them aren't worth following anyway. I got into the Lannister angle of the story last season, but it lost some of the momemtum after Joffrey got poisoned. He was an easy character to hate.

I tried watching the show, and after the first few episodes I was like .... Jesus, I really don't remember this much fucking in the books. 

Turns out it's in the books too, I just really wasn't paying too much attention.
