Goodbye Pittsburgh. I've never been overly fond of you, but much like the Royals, or the Mariners, or countless other smaller market/lower budget teams, I can't really find myself hating you either. You played us very tough on the divisional race, and we got by with just the slimmest of margins. I think a lot of people here in St. Louis can empathize by getting housed by Madison Bumgarner. We know all too well how that feels. 

Your fans were very cool about the game too. It was clear your season was ending and rather than boo and walk out, your fans stuck around and applauded the season. Cheering some of the brighter stars through their final fruitless at bats, simply to let them know you were watching all year and appreciated the effort you got to see. It was very classy, and I applaud you for that.

Keep making strides, you have a lot of talent on the mound, and have now been very competitive for 2 seasons. You'll get there!
