Oops. I didn't know the game in Baltimore started so early.
I'm more interested in the KC/LAA series anyway. I find myself on the horns of a dilemma. I'm rooting for Freese. Not so much for God's favorite ballplayer.

The bottom of the 8th inning has lasted longer than some of Britney Spears' marriages.

I've switched to KC/LAA.
I'll watch the rest of the Detroit game in the morning.

Apparently an Angels player is the favorite to win the MVP. He's making his playoff debut tonight.

Oh look. They brought their thundersticks.

I love watching Trout play. Everything on the field just seems to come so easy for him. He's the most naturally-gifted player I've seen since Ken Griffey Jr.

Let me guess, we'll have a rally monkey sighting in a couple of innings.

Idiots are attracted to shiny, blinking lights? No idea.

They didn't seem to distract Aoki there. Great catch.

Good for you Kansas City, let's get another couple wins!
I have no idea how they won that game. It seemed like everytime I looked up the Angels had a running in scoring position, but they never plated him.

Interesting move, taking out Verlander, considering how lights out the Tigers' bullpen has been.

Eckersley and Anderson ought to grab Joe Simpson by the shoulders and toss him out of the press box, sending him plummeting to his death below. All Simpson does is waste oxygen that others could be using in a productive way.

Truer words have never been spoken on this board. The Detroit bullpen is absolutely brilliantly awful right now.

Not sure the Angels got their money's worth there out of C.J. Wilson
Scioscia is going to run out of pitchers by the fifth inning. Maybe Albert will make his debut on the moung tonight.

It appears God let the Angels get the best record in baseball just to fuck with the mang.

Six incredibly mediocre innings out of Shields. I can't believe the Angels have only scord two runs so far.

No team that has finished with the best record in baseball has ever been swept in the LDS.
Yet.

Yikes on this ALCS. Not only are the ratings going to be hide-your-eyes bad, but we're two years away from playoff games being moved to 11 a.m. start times on Fox Sports 2.

Maybe next year Pujols. Course, then again, maybe not!

I'm actually more likely to watch this series than if it had been Detroit/Anaheim (or Boston or NYY).
I'm sure MLB doesn't see it that way, but I like the idea of someone new getting there.

I'm not, but mostly because I think Kansas City is the AL version of the Cardinals and sometimes I hate watching my own team.
I did predict the Angels getting knocked out in the first round because I didn't think they would be able to pitch their way through a short series. Turns out they could mostly pitch, but the bats froze up. It doesn't help that CJ Wilson is mostly awful, too.

The Angels also lost their best pitcher six weeks ago when his knee exploded. But I still don't think they beat the Royals, who look like they're never going to lose again.

So did my eyes deceive me or did Bud Norris get the series clinching win over the Detroit Tigers? Outpitching David Price????
I'm the biggest Royals fan ever now. I know what happens when the Cardinals run into Bud Norris, and I'll pass.
