    Excellent. Have a nice long rest before Game 1 of the World Series. Ask the '06 Tigers and the '07 Rockies how that worked out for them.

    More recently, the 2012 Tigers. Swept the Yankees, swept by the Giants.

    Also, I don't know why I'm subjecting myself to Ryan Vogelsong slowly rocking the Cardinals to sleep with his electric 88-mph fastball. This can only end with me throwing something.

    His curveball isn't great tonight, but it's keeping them off balance. They're sitting fastball. I think every hit he's given up has been on a fastball.

    Reinforcing the bullpen has to move to the top of the priority list for 2015. Finding a new first baseman might need to be on there somewhere, too.

    No. I don't think you remember accurately. 2011, our bullpen was filthy in the playoffs.

    That's the series difference right there. We allow a walk and a hit before getting an out. We pay the price for this.

    They give it back to us with 2 outs and grooves a pitch in Adams wheelhouse which he fouls off instead of destroying. Next pitch is a groundout to end the threat with no runs scored.

    Here's another wierd thing. The Cardinals haven't led a single game I don't believe when the 7th inning started in any game yet.

    This stings. I really wanted to be proven wrong, and maybe with a healthy Waino and Molina I would've been, but the Giants are just a stupid combination of timely hitting with crap defensive gifts and stone cold luck. Fuck this upcoming World Series.

    Well there's still one to play, maybe the Cardinals have a miracle in them. I seriously doubt it, but maybe.
