Jon Jay is a deity.

Needed to get more than one run out of that inning.

Anyone else sick of this Viagra commercial with the chick with the English accent?

Retired eight in a row then got slammed by the heavy hitting duo of Blanco and Panik.

You sometimes wonder if Reynolds thinks about stuff before it comes out of his mouth.

The sixth was Wainwright's best inning so far.

You give Wainwright the 8th?

Maybe one batter, but I would hesitate with Blanco and Joe Morgan coming up.

This is unreal.

Anyone want to bet that Wacha ends up the losing pitcher tonight?

With Holliday and Adams watching from the bench.

If the Cardinals don't win this game in the 9th, Matheny shouldn't be allowed on the team flight.

I hope he knew Affeldt was coming in if he went to Taveras. I would have stuck with Bourjos anyway. Casilla looked like he was struggling for air there.

Matheny was probably busy updating his Christian Mingle profile and didn't notice Affeldt warming up.

Well, I'm happy for the Giants. Always a classy organization.

Fuck the Giants and fuck their stupid even year magic. I'm sick of this shit ass organization and watching them shit out a horse shoe every other year. They are the worst.
On the bright side, Jon Jay is ridiculous.

My sarcasm wasn't evident. I almost always root for the NL team in the World Series. Go Royals.

Yup. In this magical Year of the Royals, let the Giants get circles run around their collective ass.

I don't understand .... Given the bullpen since this series started, I'm really not sure how you take the ball away from Wainright.
I also have no idea how you consider that the moment for Wacha's postseason debut. That bordered on cruel to me, the kid had almost no chance for success there.
I don't hate the Giants like y'all do though, although I am rooting for the Royals. The Giants didn't beat us in this series. Two losses by the players and two by the manager I think.

These were my two main thoughts last night. I really thought bring taveras in was a mistake. Like you said casilla was on the ropes. Plus bourjos isnt that much better or worst of a hitter then taveras.
Then you go to the pen anx use a pitcher that hasnt been used in a month. We all knew what to expect.
