I'd like to thank you for not only stealing a win away from Miami but for probably ensuring we do not get a playoff appearance with your bumbling of Roethlisbergher's drop at the 1/2 yard line.
It was so nice to watch you get the call wrong, then not watch through the end of the play in case you got the call wrong, watch Miami come out with the football, validate you got the call wrong and still BUTTFUCK Miami out of the football.
Fix your officiating or your rule book. In a division with New England and the NY Jets, we cannot afford to have you giving games away.

They should just make a new rule justifying Rapelisberger's TD like the do with every else.

Hard to believe the Stealers got a call to go their way. That's almost unprecedented.

Necro'ing this (net term for dragging an old dead forum back up to life). I'm necro'ing this because with all the ups and downs and good and bad on the season.
Miami is 7-6. This puts them 9th in the conference standings.
The Jets sit at 9-4 in 6th for the conference standings and currently the final wild card.
Miami has 2 winnable games left, and 1 that I would bet they certainly lose. Home vs Detroit, Home vs Buffalo, Away vs New England (this is the loss)
The Jets are @Pittsburgh, @Chicago, then home for Buffalo.
Playing this out, this is going to leave the Dolphins looking at 9-7 on the season. The Jets (assuming they lose @Pittsburgh) are 11-5. Should they lose @Chicago? 10-6.
San Diego and Indy are also 7-6 teams and will likely win 2 each to finish at 9-7. They own tiebreakers against Miami due to conference records. (Miami is 5-5, should be 6-4, SD is 6-4, Indy 5-4)
My overall point? It's really shaping up to mean that this fucked up officiating shit against Pittsburgh cost Miami a playoff spot. We'll have another 3 weeks to wait and see.

It probably did, but I'm not sure the Jets can be counted on to win three more games. Look how terrible Sanchez is:
28th QB rating
24th yards per game
19th in passing TD's
12th in most passing INT's
40th in yards per attempt

There actually an expression for that, it's called "Bush v Gore". It means, "our favorite son wins because we say so."

Believe it or not, the Stealers have been complaining lately they're in the NFL's crosshairs because of Harrison and Roethlisberger.

While I'm not on the "Chad Henne for President" bandwagon, I have fussed ever since they both joined the league at the amount of hero worship Sanchez has gotten vs the consideration Henne has received. You'll meet any number of knowledged football fans that will claim Sanchez is good enough to get you to and through a Super Bowl with the right cast around him, but Henne is a wasted pick. I'm not saying Henne isn't a waste, but I will say he's just as good as Sanchez (meaning he was a waste of a pick too).
This year, Henne is worst on the big stats, +3 INT and -3 TD compared to Sanchez, but better Comp %, Yards/Att, Rating. Henne also has 4 fumbles, instead of Sanchez's 8.
They both are rather mediocre (or bad).

This no longer applies. My team's inability to beat buffalo (at home no less) has now made this a thankful impossibility.

Buffalo hasn't been playing that badly.
If Janikowski doesn't miss a field goal from inside of 40 yards for the first time in more than four years back in Week 3, the Raiders control their own fate right now. Beating the Colts and then winning in KC isn't a layup in any event, but now they have to hope Kerry Collins and the Titans pull a horseshoe out of their arse and for either Cincinnati or Cleveland to derail the locomotive that is the San Diego Chargers.

I'm not ragging much on Buffalo, they are really working with little, and it's coming together for some wins for them after an 0-8 opening.
Miami with it's playoff hopes on the line come out and play with a lethargy that is inexplicable. Missing 4 field goals??? I understand none of them were chip shots (1 from 61 in fact), but 0-4?? That loss was well earned, like the Cleveland loss.
Henne is not the answer, and Sporano knows it. Unfortunately Pennington lasted 1 play when Sparano finally benched Henne.
I'd expect a QB draft/trade this season. It's possible Locker falls to where Miami can grab him with the season he had for Washington.

Henne looked like Dan Fouts when the Dolphins played Oakland, but that was when the Raiders were missing Asomugha, and I get your point.
I'm still not sold on Locker. And I don't think I will be until/if he has a few good seasons in the NFL.
Speaking of Locker, lost in all the boquets that are being left on Tebow's doorstep today is the untidy fact he led the Broncos to two field goals in the second half of a game against a mediocre team.

The Vikings are already talking about the idea of drafting Newton.

Terrific. He can watch and learn from The Gunslinger when he comes back next year.
