Speaking of fat, Cueto looks like she spent the winter on the Roseanne Barr diet. Either that or she's bloated because it's her period.

What's the big deal? It's just an interleague matchup between two last place teams.

The Red Sox just gave Rick Porcello a 4 year, $82M extension?  Based on what, exactly?

I think the Astros are going to be a respectable team.

I have both Kluber and Kuechel in my fantasy league. Tough to do much better than a 2-0 win for one of them. Maybe if there had been a few more Ks.

Re: Opening Night GC

I like Kuechel. Probably not a no. 1, but he's better than anyone in the Boston rotation. Luhnow > Cherington

I'd like Kuechel even more if I had one more good starter on my team.  Last night was the first time I've seen him pitch.  He's a much better real-life pitcher than he is a fantasy starter.  My starting rotation (14 team league) is Kluber, Tyson Ross, Jared Weaver, Kuechel, Mike Fiers and Drew Pomeranz.

My offense is pretty loaded though.  If I need to trade for a starter down the road, the pieces are definitely there.

I gave up on season-long fantasy baseball because I'm so awful at it. Daily for me only.

How does that work? You pick a team, you go head-to-head with someone else and whoever accumulates the most points during the day wins?
I assume this is all for fun and amusement only, as gambling on the internet is illegal?

You pick a team based on a budget, enter into a tournament or guaranteed prize pool (I usually play 50/50 where the top half doubles up their entry fee) and enjoy the rush of gambling. Daily fantasy sports are legalized Internet gambling because...reasons? It's never been made entirely clear why this is legal to the point that MLB has bought into Draft Kings and the NBA into Fan Duel, but I'm going to guess some casino moguls stepped on a few congressional necks and told them to stop the online poker because it was killing their business.

With a warning not to click on the video on the bottom with the interview of Mark Cuban. Apparently, the Patriots are "always great" and the Jets and the Knicks "always suck." Apparently, the Jets' two appearances in the AFC championship game in 2009 and 2010 and the Knicks' division title two years ago are an indication of suckage.
