So Jumbly Diaz points to his god after recording the third out. Was god taking a nap when he gave up the single to Holliday and the home run to Peralta?

This team loves pop ups.

These two morons don't even know who's in the game and who's not.

There should be a stat that track when a manager clearly puts his team in position to lose a ballgame. I just dont know what advantage bring choke into the game brought.
I suspect that Matheny didn't want to trot Siegrist out there for a third day in a row, and it's hard to argue with that. If Randy Choate would've done the only thing he's asked to do, this wouldn't be an issue. It also doesn't help that 2-run deficits with the Cardinals may as well be five.
Choate sucks.

Does Matheny have anyone left in the bullpen? BMRO and Idiot Sidekick have been too busy rooting for the Reds to give me any kind of information like that.

Kevin Gregg won't make it until the end of April.

The bullpen catcher hasn't entered the game yet.

So this is the stuff that makes me write that BMRO is such a dope. Before the top of the 11th, FS Ohio shows a clip of a penguin that apparently "delivered the first ball" for today's game. Don't ask me. It's apparently something kind of promotional thing. I guess.
Anyway, BMRO goes off about what a great institution the Cincinnati Zoo is and how it's one of the things that makes the city special blah blah blah yada yada yada. Then there's about five seconds of silence and he says, "Of course, that penguin is from the Newport Aquarium, another fine organization here in town ..."
I almost fell off my chair I was laughing so hard.

According to BMRO, Matt Carpenter has been named the Stihl Power Tool Performer of the Game. There's something pornographic about that.
