Not sure if they'll get this one in.

Is Holliday playing? Damn ESPN ...

Carp is the man

If Carpenter can drive a ball like that, he needs to hit more than 8 HR

Can't sleep on Leake. He used to DH at Arizona State.

I'm at the game. Is Wainwright pitching as poorly as it seems in person?

Speaking of ASU, the 8th-ranked Sun Devils defeated Washington, 6-5, in 10 innings today at Seattle to win their sixth straight series. They're one game behind UCLA in the Pac-12 standings.

Yes. I have no idea why he walked Frazier. I know Frazier is a pretty good hitter, but geez.

You'd think ESPN could have gotten those kids better seats.

He's pitching well enough to win if we could get a run or two .

Same thing could be said for Leake apparently .

Wong is going to drive me crazy.

A run here is huge because the Reds have 8-9-1 coming up.

I guess that settles whether Wainwright will pitch the 9th.

Matheny violating the 5th Commandment of Mathenaging. This should be interesting.

Couldn't happen against a better team. Price will probably complain that Matheny cheated by not using his regular closer.

I'm stunned. Did Rosenthal fall down a well or something?

Well, if Hamilton hadn't been hurt, and if Mesoraco hadn't been hurt, and if Cueto wasn't on her period Friday night, they might have had a better series.

All the recs for that one.

I cant believe he didnt use rosenthal. I hope he isnt hurt. This is to unmatheny like. With an off day today it is even more unmatheny like. Giving him 2 days rest makes sense. I still dont believe it happend. Now if choate gets cut ill know the world is coming to an end.

But who else can do the job of putting a lefty on first in the late innings?

Accorrding to the P-D, Rosenthal just had a night off, but you're right, it's suspiciously un-Matheny-like.

Seems like I read somewhere during spring training where Matheny said since Walden had closing experience, that he wouldn't be against using him to close occasionally to give Rosie a break....
