Can someone come up with a clutch hit here? Anyone?

Did Verducci refer to Jordan Zimmermann and Stephen Strasburg as "Tommy John survivors?!?"

Small sample size and all, but Heyward is fucking terrible. I think he's squared up about six balls so far. I'm also pissy that they couldn't get a run.

People need to stop saying Jon Jay is fast.

Adams got his every other year hit off a lefty last October.

Strap in. This could be a long half-inning.

Choate's not exactly a Gold Glover.

Mathney's bullpen management is as predictable as the reflexively angry reaction I get when I say "You know, the Palestinians really do deserve their own country ..." within earshot of my mother-in-law.

His glove is made of metal, but not gold.

I don't know who hits 15 home runs on this team.

Nope, but he struck out on a wild pitch.

Just for shits, Matheny should send Kozma to the on-deck circle.

Why are we being subjected to McCarver's inane babble?

Costas and Smoltz had Ramos playing a carom off the bricks in back of the plate before he threw out Heyward at first on the dropped third strike in the top of the ninth,

McCarver had Molina knocking the ball out of Ramos' hand with the backswing on Kozma's stolen base.
The worst though was probably a full minute or more of complaining because the Nats didn't start the runner on 3-2 with Uggla at the plate. Apparently McCarver isn't aware Uggla strikes out once every 3 at bats. "If you're that worried he won't make contact, he shouldn't be pinch hitting."

MLBN has also broken out these new graphics that are very distracting.

"McCarver had Molina knocking the ball out of Ramos' hand with the backswing on Kozma's stolen base."
Smoltz saw the same thing.

The Nashnils look more relieved than happy.
