Cruz is starting.
It appears to be 35 degrees in Pittsburgh.

The Pirates are losing because they're wearing camouflage.

BMRO and Idiot Sidekick are performing virtual cunnilingus on Cueto right now on FS Ohio. Apparently, she pitched the greatest game in the history of baseball last night against the mighty Brewers.
Idiot Sidekick: "You could just see in his eyes he wasn't going to allow the Brewers to score."

Now they're fellatiating "the Cuban Missile." Did Chapman even travel with the team when it was in St. Louis last week? I don't remember seeing him.

Idiot Sidekick must have slept through the 1st inning of the game.

You guys are on your own for the first few innings today. I have to have an MRI on my knee, and then a consultation with my doctor. This guy has put his kids through college with the money he's earned from operating on my knees, and now he's going to tell me he wants to replace them.

Did she allow a run?? OMG that's hysterical.

Ouch. Good luck with that.
Steve Blass has mentioned Bob Walk at least three times today. Just random name drops.

I hope pitchers keep going with the book on how to pitch Carpenter in 2014. It's really paying off for the Cardinals.

Wacha's being forced to throw over the middle more to satisfy the Jekyll and Hyde strike zone.

Max Scherzer has looked 40 since he was 20.

He won't do it, but Matheny should consider switching Wong and Heyward.

Blass talked about this on Tuesday. When the Pirates go to Chicago later in the season, Blass is covering for Walk, who will be attending his son's college graduation or something. Blass usually doesn't travel, and it's the first time he's been to Wrigley since he retired as a player. He's making it seem like MacArthur returning to the Philippines.

Ahhh. It was really bizarre. Today is the 101st birthday of Wrigley. The PBP asked who started that day. Blass said "Bob Walk." Then somehow worked in two more references.
He's not happy with the renovations, but that's to be expected for an old man with an active bladder.

Wacha is throwing a quick game. Low pitch count. I think matheny needs to keep a leash on him tho. Games like these are a good chance to go easy on the starters.

As good as the Cardinals rotation has been, imagine if Shelby Miller had been the pitcher they thought he was going to be (including the ability to go deep into games).
A rotation of Wainwright, Wacha, Lynn, Miller and Martinez would be every bit as good as what the Nationals have, and would cost about $50M less.
