So as long as this lead seems safe, let me tell you how my day went today. My neighbor had some tree work done. The crew he hired showed up at 7:30 a.m. With chain saws. And a chipper. Which they parked right in front of our house. At 8 a.m., my wife tried to go out for coffee and the end of our driveway was blocked by tree limbs. She asked them to move, and one of the guys sneered at her.  Around noon, my neighbor came over and asked me if they could put their cherry picker in my driveway, because it would be easier for them.
All of this would be fine, except a couple of years ago the people who live behind us had a tree removed from their back yard, which, without telling us, they removed by going through our backyard. My neighbors - including the guy who blocked my driveway today - started emailing me and calling ,me at work, not knowing I had no idea what was going on. When I got home from work, the guy across the street called me a douchebag and this guy who had the tree work done today said he "hated" me. And someone called the cops, who were there because someone told them I hadn't pulled a work permit.
I loathe this fucking town.
