Walden getting a second opinion on an "inflamed" bicep. That sounds bad.
Garcia throws 70 pitches in a simulated game and is sent to start a rehab assignment.
Gonzales is scheduled to start Saturday in Memphis. He could take the Wainwright spot as early as next week.

Why is Choate on the team, if not to get Rizzo in that situation. The fact it happened to work doesn't change the fact that was dumb.

I'm just getting in from work. What unlikely and amazing events have occurred thus far?
Just another ordinary night. Fell behind 4-1. Lyons didn't get out the 5th. Bullpen threw 4.1 scoreless innings, and they came back to win.

Rizzo was apparently 3-10 with a homer off him. Which elicits a follow-up question of why he was warming up, if Matheny didn't like the matchup and there were three right handed hitters coming up after Rizzo.
