Carpenter's not in the lineup. Might be bad news...

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

No Carp this weekend. Left behind because of extreme fatigue. Hopefully it's nothing more medically serious.

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

Be good to grab an early lead. These people seem especially blood-thirsty tonight.

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

The first two pitches are in the exact same spot and the count is 1-1. Here we go ...

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

Haven't seen a lot of homers hit into the Pirates' bullpen.

Without jinxing it, he has to be one of the steadiest players the Cardinals have had recently.

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

Blass is now saying Carpenter stayed home because of an irregular heartbeat. Any truth to that?

Accelerated. Have not heard anything about irregular. Also dehydration.

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

When do the Pirates start regretting the Josh Harrison contract?

That's different than fatigue. They were right to leave him home.

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

All this crap started when he hit Walker with a 2-strike count.

The Cardinals can't get Marte out and Wacha's not coming close to fooling the Pirates.

Only in Pittsburgh would REO Speedwagon be played over the PA.

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

Wacha's command is still very iffy. There were too many balls left up in the zone.

Re: 5/8 Gamecrap

The team caught some crap about drafting Wong because they took a pure second baseman, but it sure looks like a damn good pick at this point.
