Went to a track meet all the way up in Gloucester and there's a 6 p.m. start to the Cardinals' game. Who starts a game at 6 o'clock? Don't tell me that old "What time can you get here?" joke about the Indians finally came true?

The Indians' broadcaster called Wong "one of the best leadoff hitters in baseball." Is this the first game he's led off?

I hate walks.

Nice crowd tonight. Is the weather ever good in Cleveland?

More dancing on glass from Lynn.

Does every count have to go to 3-2?

So this game started at 5:00 central? No wonder it feels like I missed so much of the game.

How else do you expect him to throw 120 pitches in 6 innings while working on a shutout?

Ho hum, another double for Carpenter.

I think the Indians' announcers said it has something to do with the Cavaliers' game. The basketball arena and the baseball stadium are pretty much within walking distance of each other, and they may have wanted them to not start at the same time so everyone is arriving at once. Considering the size of the crowd at the baseball game, I think their fears were a little overstated.

Belisle may be turning back into a pumpkin ...

Is Siegrist unavailable?

Mathenaging at its finest. Doesn't it say on the lineup card whether a hitter is lefthanded or righthanded?

Does any game involving an American League team last three hours no matter what?

Matheny is hopelessly overmatched when trying to deal with a bullpen. Unbelievably dumb to start Belisle in an inning with a run of lefties.

Could be worse. Could have the Indians' bullpen.

I figured they had a fighting chance of widening the gap against this bullpen.

I know this is asking a lot, but can you watch the post-game show and report back what his explanation is for that? There were two switch-hitters and a lefty coming up, and if anyone got on, you want a lefty in there anyway to face Brantley. Even if the number nine hitter's splits are outrageous, he's still the number nine hitter who's batting .181. Siegrist is the move there.

Hopefully they air it because I'm curious, too.

I'm getting the Indians broadcast. They're having a helluva time trying to pronounce Socolovich. Maybe the Cardinals will call up Tuivailala for the next two games and make it really interesting.

They cut out Matheny's interview halfway in

Glad to see Carp back out there and contributing

Lynn danced through a couple of mine fields, but his 9 strike outs got him out of trouble for an overall decent start .
