Heading for a no-hitter aren't we?

How many swings and misses has Lackey gotten so far?

If nothing else, Kluber will throw too many pitches to complete the game, and the Cleveland bullpen will blow the lead and cost him the win.
Have faith.

His pitch count is still reasonable, even with 11 Ks through five.

Yes, we are.

Bourjos is trying to pull everything again. Bad sign.

81 pitches, 13 strikeouts.

Please get Lackey out of the game.

Too many walks by the starters lately.

Gonna have to pull the plug on Choate. He doesn't have anything left in the tank.

We're wearing him down.
All the walks and pitching changes probably made him tight.

See, there goes the no-hitter.

All the swings and misses are producing a cool breeze that is negatively affecting Kluber. It's only a matter of time now.

Might as well win the game now.

This is the thing that disturbs me most about the shift: You swing three guys to the right side and then feed the lefthanded hitter sliders on the outside corner.

Otherwise, some nice work by Choate.
Can you imagine how a quality lefty starter like Kershaw would carve up this Indians' lineup?

Is 20 still the record?

For the next 10 minutes.

What's his pitch count? Will they let him try to finish?

Guess not. Here's where I lose the win.

Sometimes you run into a buzz saw. No one was beating Kluber.

Anyone else think if he had to, Kluber could have pitched another five innings without giving up a run?

It was ~110, He was hitting the low corners with his fastball, his cutter had a late break, and his curve was dropping off a table. Maybe the most dominant game I've seen since Halladay's no-hitter against the Reds in the playoffs a few years ago.

Yeah, that was flat-out dominance. I suspect Kluber was doctoring the ball somehow because the Cards telecast showed Bourn throwing a ball back in and losing his grip.
