Garcia couldn't ask for a better situation to return to. Let's hope his arm stays attached.

Fingers crossed, but I'm sure it isn't a coincidence that Villanueva hasn't pitched since the 16th. I'm sure he was told to be ready today.

Not a bad first inning really. He needs some quick outs to get past the 5th at this rate.

Idk if he is scared or what but he has to throw strikes

Leadoff walks ...

Thats a great play. Grichuk second game making a hell of a diving catch. Then he gets up and throws a seed. No hurry coming back jay.

What kind of contact are the Mets making? Gameday seems to indicate they're hitting line drives that are ending up in the gloves of the Cardinals' defenders.

Gameday is correct. He is getting some good movement to tho.

Bozo the Clown, however, appears to be mowing down the Cardinals in short order.

He is. The cards look helpless today.

The flare to left was weakly hit and could have found a glove and that grounder should have been stopped.

One run out of that probably isn't a bad thing.

I'll have you know that the real Bozo had a cannon for an arm. He just couldn't get much leg drive with those size 35 shoes, though.

Is that the second time Lagares has been picked off in this series?

You could make good money by going to Vegas and laying money on the Cardinals struggling on getaway day.

They go to Kansas City after this, right? Who make up this schedule, a blind guy with a dart board?

Makes perfect sense that after a Sunday night home game the team travels East and loses an hour only to turn around and come back to Kansas City.

If the Cardinals decide to keep Grichuk and Reynolds in the regular lineup, we better get used to seeing double-digit strikeout days. Although Reynolds hasn't struck out--yet.
