I was thinking the same thing. They go to Denver after this. A 4-3 road trip would be OK here.

How much different would Reynolds' career have turned out if he had been able to lay off breaking pitches off the plate?
Game supposed to on MLB but instead.........Scrubs/Nats (delayed).
I see "Peter" got a hit for LA!

Turner kills the Cardinals with his bat and the Dodgers with his glove.

Same deal with one of the Hi-Def channels on Extra Innings. Damn Cubs screw up everything.

Mattingly is complaining about the strike zone again. Maybe the crowd is intimidating Dale Scott.

Scott completely missed that foul tip. Mat tingly needs to STFU.

The Cardinals continue to run the bases poorly.

He's a good umpire, but he's missed a few calls tonight. He seems to be flipping a coin on pitches on the outside corner to left-handed hitters.

Oh look, the Dodgers are complaining.

I think Vin Scully is finally starting to suffer from dementia. He's twice said tonight that for every fly ball, there are 152 ground balls. And the first time, it was a soliloquy that lasted almost a half-inning.

Don't be deceived by the 7-1 final score. The Dodgers would have won if the umpires hadn't been against them.

The umps were clearly intimidated by the crowd at Ballpark Village that assembled to watch the game.

'He was spotting his fastball a little bit better than last time. But other than that, I didn't see anything different,'' Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal said. ''It's not like we didn't hit him tonight. We just couldn't get anything going.''
Just once, I'd like to read someone from the Dodgers said something like this: "Give the Cardinals credit. They deserved to win because they played better than we did."
But I suppose when one team has been dominating the other for 30 years, the other team tends to get frustrated.

Wacha + more runs than the whiners = win

How long will LA keep going with Mattingly? LA always looks loaded but underachieve? Giants look like crap (other than BumGarn, other SP, Posey) yet they won 3 of 5 WS? All Bochy? Other teams give it away?
Cardinals were so close last year but could not get even one road win and back to Busch. Then there was the other year loss (Game 5 at Busch to freakin' Zito woof woof). What a bunch of crap!
