Martinez vs. Anderson
Offline
I'm not getting the game yet because the stupid slow pitch softball game at Yankee Stadium isn't over yet.

This is ridiculous. The Angels have been batting in the top of the ninth for 20 minutes, and there's no one out yet.

Huge double play there.

Scully keeps referring to Wong as "Wang."

Scully just spent a half-inning explaining his error with the 152-1 ground ball to fly ball ratio statement from last night. Turns out he forgot the decimal point and there are 1.52 ground balls to every fly ball. Or vice-versa, I don't know. He's senile.

I'm driving home and listening to the game. Sounds like they're wasting a really good start by Martinez.

Grichuk couldn't hit this guy with a tennis racquet.

Anderson is dominating them. The two hits so far are a ground ball up the middle by Wong and a Texas Leaguer to left by Molina. I can't even remember a loud foul.

Grandal is such a bitch.

Wow. Two runs out of nothing.

I'm not sure what Gonzalez was thinking. Or if he was thinking.

And some brilliant managing by Matheny. Seriously. Every decision he made that half-inning was the right one.

OK. Six outs to get here. Come on, bully ...

OK, now he just took out a lefty to bring in a lefty.
I would have taken my chances with Choate with Rollins hitting from the right side and then Gonzalez.

Did Hernandez really think he was going to make a play on Peralta's hit up the midlde if the umpire had gotten out of the way?

Very nice. No worse than a split now let's go win the series

Considering who's pitching for the Whiners in the next two games, that's a huge win.
Guerrero had a good cut (but that all), Sit down Peter. Nice to have Rosenthal!

Choates era is upper 3s...i would have guessed in the 5s. Everytime i see him he fails. Like was said earlier. With who the dodgers are throwing today and tomorrow i think matheny had to win this game and hope to get lucky once in the next couple days. Hell i hope to get luck once in the next couple days.

No. Extra Innings. EI doesn't provide enough channels for all 15 games, so occasionally when a 7 p.m. game goes late, the broadcast of a 10 p.m. game on the same channel doesn't start on time. Last night, the Yankees were ahead of the Angels, 8-1, after eight innings, but the Angels scored six runs in the top of the ninth, which took about 40 minutes.
Tonight's Cardinals/Dodgers game is on MLB Network.

Choate's slider was breaking three feet last night. He made Pederson look silly. Siegrist's numbers against righties are much better than they are versus lefties, so in that situation the decision comes down to whether you think Rollins is going to hit one out from the right side against Choate, or Gonzalez is going to hit one out off Siegrist.

A split in Los Angeles should be considered a series victory. Wish I could've seen the game.
