Three runs is a good night for this lineup.

Maybe Lackey can talk his way into pitching the ninth, too.

Re: 6/15 GC

FWIW no one on Twitter seems to know why RosenthL didn't pitch either

Re: 6/15 GC

According to Goold ,  "Rosenthal was "tight". Unavailable according Matheny.

He was either decapitated by Brienne of Tarth or stabbed to death Julius Caesar style by his own men for allowing the Wildlings passage through Castle Black. Sorry. I'm still contemplating last night's season finale to Game of Thrones.

Yeah, that sounds more plausible than my theories.

And there's an old joke in there about a former hooker trying to convince her husband on their wedding night that she's still a virgin, but I don't recall it exactly.

Re: 6/15 GC

I dont want to play the gettimg so and so back is like making a big trade type talk but.....if hollidays injury doesnt hamper him all year this break might help in toward the end of the season.  Same wifh lynn.  And if walden can be productive it will be another big piece to a bullpen that doing well.

Re: 6/15 GC

Hummel:
"There was an alarm flag, of sorts, raised when closer Trevor Rosenthal, who has 21 saves in 22 tries, was unavailable for the ninth inning Monday because of arm tightness. That condition also existed Sunday.
“(Rosenthal) didn’t feel right and we needed to give him a day,” said Matheny, who didn’t deem the matter a serious issue."

So, we can assume he'll be seeing Dr. Andrews by the end of the week, with surgery scheduled for the week after?

And when they get Chris Carpenter back, it will be just like trading for an ace at the deadline.

Yes yes i know.  Im just saying they are winning somehow without them.  If they get them back hopefully it makes things stronger.  this isnt a club that is treading water in hopes of a returning superstar.  They are still playing above .500 ball.
