Looks like weather could be an issue again today.

I get to watch this one at home today because I'm waiting for a repairman to arrive and fix my clothes dryer. In the past three months, we've had the dishwasher, the garbage disposal and now the dryer go down for the count. Isn't that the triple crown of appliance disasters?

When I first saw the Twins' lineup, I thought Molitor was crazy for starting seven out of eight righthanded hitters, but he be on to something. Wacha's changeup is death to lefties.

This is pretty bad luck. At least you have air, though? About 10 years ago, the control panel of our central air kept beeping. It would get pretty annoying. So one day I grabbed a candle and pounded on the son of a bitch until it stopped beeping. And it stopped working. I had to explain to my mom why I did it and couldn't come up with a good explanation. This was a really bad time to beat the shit out of a control panel because we were in the middle of a pretty intense September heatwave AND it was a Friday.

Is there a reason why changeups from righties are so hard for lefties to hit?

LMAO. I have to ask, what was the significance of the candle? Or were you beating on the thermostat in the dark so you wouldn't wake your mom?

Another rain delay. Wouldn't mind this one being long enough to call an end to the game.

No a/c. Some of the new homes here are being built with it, but a conversion isn't worth the expense for the 10 days every summer you really need it. We get by with a room a/c and fans.

Wacha's is especially tough because it breaks down and away late.
When he loses location, he loses it quick though, huh? I think the rain might have saved him from a troublesome inning there.

Isn't Hurricane Bill headed your way after it's done with Houston? Just what East Texas needed. More rain.

That could have been messier.

Artie if you're watching, has there been any mention of Rosenthal's availability?

It was the only heavy-bottomed object within my grasp to shut that annoying beeping off.

Belisle gives up hits to two of the three guys he faces and he gets applauded coming off the mound. Only in St. Louis. And I mean that in an admirable way.

I forget that you're in a different climate. You should've been here last week. We posted a 97 degree day, then followed it up with a few days in the low 90s.

There's a presumption he's not.

I'd rather do heat than cold.

In my house, the closest heavy-bottomed object is usually the one being the most annoying (he types knowing his wife doesn't frequent this message board).

Siegrist is finding too much of the plate here.

I thought about going there, but with my luck she'd find it and I'd lose some teeth.

Artie, that's terrible. I was referring to the dirty laundry basket.

Somehow, someway pitching comes through
