Behold Pat Murphy, notorious wrecker of arms. How Mike Leake was able to escape ASU with his right arm still attached to his body is a mystery.

As I watched women soccer Tues I suddenly became aware ASU backwards is USA!

Re: 7/2 GC

Well,  they say Molina "the best" (at least behind the plate).  Posey won three WS including one as rookie (I believe?).  Two of them right thru St,Lou.....

Re: 7/2 GC

I'd rather see Tuivailala up than Socolovich. Neither one has great control, but when Tui misses, it's at 98 mph, not 91.

Molina is the best defensive catcher I've ever seen. The only two who come close are Ivan Rodriguez and Johnny Bench.

The only time I ever got a sore neck was when I used to pitch.

Re: 7/2 GC

Seems like Rosenthal is coming into TIE games for a long time now? I thought Matheny book says NOT allowed?  Or since the SF playoff debacle....... has he changed?

I had just finished thinking they needed to pitch around Venable or at least be careful with him, with the lesser Upton on deck.

Re: 7/2 GC

Matheny has to stop it with Reynolds. He performed capably there for a few weeks, but good grief it's getting out of control.

He is over expksed at this point in his career.  He needs to resume the role he had off the bench.

Last nights game was a predictable ending.

Venebale has a good history of GWH.  He has a few this yr. already I believe.  they should have known?

Veanble has no such history. He has 1 career walk off HR. He's only hit 4 career HR in the 9th inning or later. Only 2 were game winners, and 1 of those was the other night.

i did not say GW HR "only".  he has several GW or G tying hits recently.  I saw one or two myself.
