I find the walkup music to be overly loud, abrasive and annoying.

Still it is inning 5 and there is just 2 runs on the board. It has to be hard to be in his situation and know in order to win he has to throw 7 shutout innings and his a solo home run.

Well, that's not entirely untrue, but I was referring to the four walks he's given up. There's never a reason to walk Chris DeNorfia on four pitches unless first base is open and the pitcher is on deck.  He threw a wild pitch that cost him a run. And he's given up a couple of hits on 2-strike counts to left-handed hitters. He works harder than he needs to, throws more pitches and has shorter outings. When he's been in the majors, it's been a pattern.

I wonder if there's statistical analysis about a pitcher's ERA in the half-inning after the pitcher has run the bases.

Im just not sure if it is mlb walk song type material.

Not at all.  I'd still take the money she's making, talented or not.  I'd take the money the Cubs are paying Edwin Jackson, and I know he isn't talented.

Is there any plausible explanation for bringing Choate into the game to face a righthanded hitter and a switch hitter who has a much better average from the right side?
