It comes down to this -- four exciting matchups to conclude our first season.

Smell the Glove vs. Fin Fans for the championship in the inaugural Stag Beer Markie Post Bowl

The Miles Express vs. Hollywood for 3rd place in the Schlitz Beer Roger Cedeno Bowl

The Athols vs. G4B for 5th place in the Albertsons Albuquerque Bowl

Grammas vs. AP for 7th place in the GPC Cigarettes Bowl

Is it normal for the 3rd place leader in points and leader for most of the year to finish dead last?

That's purely hypothetical as I am sure to get my ass kicked . . . again.

There's no shame in taking home the GPC Bowl championship trophy.

Trophy? It's an ashtray.

Oh, and I think the prize for the third place matchup ought to be something to reflect the team names selected by the belligerents, like a Verne Troyer sex tape.

Consolation = 5th place

Are you really going to start Tebow or are you doing a Belichick thing?

"Matt Ryan and harvesting the 12 points he excretes every week."

No kidding. I have him in my other league. In the real world, he's an efficient QB who wins games because he moves the chains and doesn't throw the ball to the other team. But that doesn't make him a fantasy stud.
My other option is Joe Flacco, who has one good game every six weeks. The rest of the time, he's Jeff Hostetler sans the porn 'stache.

"I'd be doing a Charlie Finley thing, and shipping off Tony Romo and Dallas Clark to the first guy whose jug of Albertson's whiskey hit my mailbox."

Yeah, but it gives you a chance to ride down the post office on a donkey, while you're wearing your green-and-gold checkered Rayon blazer. Matching hat and white patent leather shoes optional.

Re: Playoffs, Week 1

Will the Titans ever throw to Randy Moss?

My WR suck and I don't have the time or inclination to fix the problem.  I notice that AP has increased his projected points by about 25 with his moves, but I don't see myself putting that much thought into whether I am 7th or 8th.

Two of my favorite Edithisms are when Alistair Cooke became "Alice the Cook," and when Mike suggested Plato was gay and she thinks he's talking about Mickey Mouse's dog.
Of course, there's always Archie's finest moment, when Mike announces he's an atheist and he thinks that means he's sterile.

Tim Tebow - 24 points. Rest of the Athols - 22 points. Another shining example of what it is like to be me

0 from Chad O-choke-cinco
0 from Randy Moss
-2.2 from Mike Tolbert (and Pierre Thomas at last played and generated decent FF points)
2.8 for Michael Turner

Can you say DEAD LAST?  I knew that'cha could.

I make a motion here and now that next year's draft order is the reverse order of the final standings.  Who's going to second the motion?  AP?  Windy?

Actually, I wouldn't object to that.

Works for me Max. However, all this means is that I'll be on the road again for the draft, and Yahoo will have Shonn Greene ranked as the #2 player, and Ron Powlus at #15.

I'm good with a reverse order draft. You can sign up for these things pretty early, so we ought to be able to pick a day that everyone can be on-line.

Re: Playoffs, Week 1

I would be OK with reverse draft order, too.

I think if Gary Kubiak winds up back in Denver next season, Knowshon Moreno becomes worthy of either of a 1st or 2nd round pick. And I'd love to see Shanahan try to prove to everyone he's a genius by rolling with Rex Grossman.

Odd how Shanahan's genius seems a little less evident ever since Elway retired ...

Doesnt matter to me.  I think I picked second this year.

I finish seconded in points scored to the guy with the winnest record.  I also finished second to the guy with the worst record in points scored against.

Re: Playoffs, Week 1

I see that the headlined say that Favre is going to play in week 17 if cleared.  After the week Joe webb had you would think he would just go home.
