Hope they start out the second half on the right foot. Only a 2.5 game lead.

I'm surprised, but not displeased, that deGrom and Harvey aren't scheduled to pitch in this series.

Thats a huge break. I was dreading starting out the second half watching a failing offense stand in against a couple stellar pitchers

They are very concerned with Harvey and the Hair's workloads.
I'm no longer working weekends and missing 45 percent of the games, so I'm excited for this series. Hopefully I'm not disappointed.

I hope you've had the good sense to leave the newspaper industry. We're to the 21st century what stagecoach drivers were to the 20th century.

Well that's not a very good start.

The Memphis/Iowa game was on CBS Sports last night. I was surprised at how thin Piscotty is. He's tall, but there's not a lot of meat on his bones. And he was playing first base.

It's worked tonight, but Reynolds and Grichuk shouldn't bat next to each other

Collins has an argument

Is Maness warming mean Rosie is unavailable?

Which team has wasted more money on underperforming free agents over the past 20 years? I'll bet the Mets are right behind the Yankees.

He had a beef, too. That pitch was wicked low.

Probably more in case Lynn got in trouble in the seventh.

Good point. I wasn't sure if Cardinals manager Scott Boras made Rosie available.

That's not fair. The Mets probably only have another 5-10 years and they're done paying Bobby Bonilla.

This has been a long inning.

Pirates lose.
WTF is Heyward doing there? He's got to take that ball.

This is beyond scary at this point. Game should be over.

Yeah, Rosenthal is a mess.

This is the least confident I've seen a pitcher since Boggs.

Regardless of outcome, Rosenthalnis done for the series.
