Anyone else ready to pull the chute on Ron Johnson or whatever the hell his name is? I don't think he's had a hit since the Cardinals left Chicago.

The Kozma stuff has to end
You wouldnt think it would be hard to replace him. Then again brendan ryan is still employed. He's not hard to replace. I really think they're terrified he's going to go to another team and turn back the clock to September 2012.
Who cares if he does? If Peralta goes down he isnt good enough to fill in. He cant pinch hit and despite what the cardinals media try to make us believehis defense isnt overly special.

Johnson ended up pitching for a lot of teams. I think he finished up with the Giants. And how many more times are you going to see two guys who played for the Expos go into the HofF in the same year? Vlad Guerrero may get in, and Larry Walker might get in someday, but that's probably it.
Tim Raines
Yeah, I don't know if Raines ever gets in. His ticket is obviously the stolen bases, but he doesn't reach the benchmarks in any of the major offensive categories. Despite his speed, he wasn't an outstanding defensive player and he didn't have much of a presence in the post-season until he was a part-time player with the Yankees late in his career.
And there's the cocaine thing. I know it's kind of hypocritical to keep him out for doing coke when most of the guys who played in the '60s and '70s were doing amphetamines, but the people who vote for the HofF aren't known for their consistency.
Can't disagree with anything you said, but Raines is trending up. He surpassed 50% of the votes this year after getting about 44-45% the year before. I don't know how many years he has left on the ballot, but that's a good sign for him.
