Hard to gage what defense means. Pham makes a good diving catch and hayward plays the ball correctly off the wall. Could have been a run but instead the game is still only one run away.

I know there is run saved data but i dont even think that can calculate the intangibles. I dont remember a beter defensive team with birds on the bat. You can talk about the pitching all day and it is hard not to give them credit. However these guys literally just have to keep the ball in the ball park and they get a quality start.
