Not just Lyons. Why did they even pitch to him with first open in the 8th? Guy's on fire and Broxton ain't got the right hose. Or so I'm told.

Broxton hasnt proven himself as a high leverage pitcher as a cardinal. Im not sure id keep putting him out there and expecting him to handle late inning duties.

Seemed like MM was content to have the two wins. Resting Wacha and Molina against Scherzer is a move you only pull when you're 40 games over .500 on Sept 2nd. And the Cardinals still nearly won (1 hit away from tying it in the 9th).
This team does not know how to lose, certainly not at home. I hope that carries over into the postseason.
