It's not "crazy" how many times Rizzo has been hbp, Al. He stands on top of the plate and his hands are over the strike zone.
He also leaned into the pitch. It's time for teams to start drilling him the ribs until he gets the point.

yeah... yuck. Come on Peralta, pick us up.

Maness needs to not suck today.

I have no idea what Matheny's infatuation with Seth Maness is at this point.

You just watch here. He's going to induce a GIDP with no one on base.

Well there's always tomorrow... I need to stop watching this.

The good news for the Cardinals is Kozma is already out of the game.

My phone made it out like Holiday was hurt by the HBP (hit him in the head)? I assumed they pulled him because they pinch hit him and didn't want him trying to leg anything out on that quad of his.
Is he hurt?

This one is being managed like a playoff game.

He looked a little dazed, but he never went down and he walked off the field under his own power. I suspect they would have pinch run for him anyway.

He was a little pissed , but the Cards will remember Casto for admiring his homerun at some point in the future......

Cishek only missed his spot by about 7 inches.

Now the strike zone opens up ...

Not that he was all that great in his 2/3rds of an inning, but I thought pulling Lyons that quickly was basically a white flag.

As much as I hate to say it, the Cubs have passed the Cardinals. The Cardinals will likely hang on and win the division, but after this season, I think all bets are off. I don't see how Chicago doesn't enter 2016 as the division favorites unless Mozeliak can reshape the entire lineup.

Joe Maddon is quickly moving up my shit list:
"We didn't start this (bean balls), but we will end it."
Maybe I'm misremembering it, but I could've swore Dan Haren hit Matt Holliday in the head.

Geez, I thought I saw Greinke almost smile.

Wow. I must have been watching a different game. I saw Rizzo drop his shoulder into the strike zone so he could get hit by a breaking pitch. Then I saw Holliday get hit in the head. Then I saw Rizzo freak out when his pants leg got grazed by a guy whose fastball tops out at 91.
