    Game 1 Gamecrap

    I'll predict the lineup:

    1. Carpenter, 3B
    2. Piscotty, 1B
    3. Holliday, LF
    4. Heyward, CF
    5. Peralta, SS
    6. Grichuk, RF
    7. Molina, C
    8. Wong, 2B
    9. Lackey

    Healthy, that's a very good lineup. Today? Meh, they are really banged up. Half the lineup is hurting and Holliday and Grichuk likely can't play the entire game. 

    Also, I think the rotation is sort of similar to the 2011 version. You've got Lackey as Carpenter; Wacha and Lynn as Lohse and Jackson; and Garcia as...well, Garcia.

    They have to control the game.  Score first and hand it bullpen and defensive replacements to shutout the late innings.  A cool day in a pitching friendly home ballpark should be to the cards advantage.

    I really hope Molina's thumb is serviceable, seems stupid batting him ahead of Wong if he can't swing.

    Since Heyward's single in the fourth, Cardinals have struck out five times. This strategy of trying to attack Lester on the first pitch is ridiculously stupid. If he throws one over the plate, fine, but they've gotten way too aggressive.

    Good grief, does this team have any strategy when it comes to batting? Lester threw about 30 pitches over the last three innings.

    tbs.... i hate these announcers. every pitch that they get is masterful catching. framing, talking to the ump.

    everyone the Cardinals get is just a blown call. and they just complained that maybe a dead red hater might have caught the corner.
    so biased.

    I liked it because I'd rather pull a pitcher too early than too late. Maddon not going to Soler or Jackson there is baffling. Coghlan is a .116 hitter against lefties.
