Not done yet. Cubs won't go down without a fight. Get ready to sweat, boys.

Understood, but I still don't go to Rosenthal there.

Here's where I miss Bourjos.

I've just resigned myself to the fact that Rosenthal will always make it interesting.

Great start. I would make different pitcher choices, sticking with Lackey a little longer, not going straight to Rosey, on the premise it's better to not expose the bullpen studs until you have to. That said, Mm and the boys got it done.

Had to cover a football game tonight. Looks like I missed some good stuff from Lackey.

Nah, I disagree. Coghlan had the ability to get something started there. He was going to be toast against Siegrist. If it's the regular season, he can be more patient. But I don't see much incentive in taking that chance, especially when Lackey spent the sixth and seventh having to battle.
With the Cubs turning their lineup over, Matheny had to be as aggressive as possible with Rosenthal. He couldn't take a chance with Maness or Broxton against a run of hitters like that.

He really stepped up his game. The best thing about Lackey is that he just attacks guys. He didn't start nibbling until later in the game.

Fair enough. Glad if MM is calling the shots better than I would.

Well it's no fun if we agree to disagree. You're supposed to call me an asshole!
Just kidding, JV!

DeWitt wants to divide us.
Yeah, I miss Max.

When his sinker is working, he's much tougher to hit. And he knows it.

Max's sinker is highly underrated.

Barkeep poured a mistaken Long Island and gave it to me. Should I be rooting for th e Mets now?

Couple more of those and you'll be rooting for the Islanders.

If the real Garcia shows up and this team maintains its attitude, we could see a statement made tomorrow.

I miss Max. I know he could be a pain in the neck, but he made the board more interesting.

At this point he would try to piss you off, but I can't do it justice.

There's something wrong with MLB when Angel Hernandez and Phil Cuzzi are both behind the plate for playoff games on the same day.

so. about this Allen Craig trade.
thank you Boston. Lackey is pitching his ass off.
I probably would have picked lacky as game one start but it was an excellent decision. He pitched his ass off and just kept push that outside corner wider. Now if garcia can be the unhittable garcia that shows up half the time id feel pretty good. Be nice to head to chicago and only need a game.

Always, you must know the tums will come out before batter 3.

Im guessing matheny wanted to give rosenthal a test run with a 4 run lead. Hate to let him go to long without pitching. It is exciting knowing waino is around as well. Lackey had things under control but the cardinals have the ablity to shorten games. The cubs seem scared as hell to get into there pen.

Im tired of hearing about about how game 3 is lost.
