Figured we could do one thread for both AL series, another thread for Mets vs. Dodgers series and then our usual thing for each game of the Cardinals series.

How long can Gallardo hold these guys down?

If the Jays don't come back here, they're in serious trouble.

1-6, according to Canadian Press. But I'm not sure how that works out with the exchange rate.

Maybe the Cardinals can bring Rasmus back next season.

So apparently nobody bothered to tell either Texas team that they aren't supposed to win these series. I havent read anyone who gave the Rangers a snowballs chance in hell against Toronto, but after taking game 1, they are pushing through extra's in a tie ball game. The Rangers are one break away from crippling Toronto.
Houston limped into postseason after falling off the division and was given very little love against KC, but they won game 1, and are jumping on the Royals in Game 2 with a run in the 1st and loading the bases with no outs in the top of the 2nd. It's very early in that one, but the way it's headed, they might put up 10 runs in that game.

Dear Royals fans,
Remember when you believed Janey Cueto was the final piece to that World Championship puzzle?

I was just coming to point out that Colby Rasmus has had a seriously rough stretch, terrible hair, and just some bad luck on the field and at the plate.... But no matter how badly he or his barber perform....It's good to know he can always pad his line against Johnny "Bitchass" Cueto, who is showing everyone in Kansas City what a waste of money he really is.

I know nothing about the prospects KC gave up to get Cueto, but even one of them turns out to be decent that's going to be a really ugly trade.

I'm not sure how much longer I can keep watching. The Rangers were the only team that doesn't have a player I loathe or didn't want to see win.
Everything now involves at least one person or team I can stand celebrating at the end.
