Umps took care of Grimm on that one.

Let's get the bats going here.

God damn it....stop swinging at balls in the dirt.

I'm done with Wong

Alright....I new ball game. Cruz might have been in. Nope but I agree with sending him.
Still an inning of lost opportunity and some horrible at bats.

I need to go to the store. If the Cubs score I'm leaving.

Another strike out on a ball alomost in the dirt.

Why are the cardinals swinging at so many bad pitches?

Heyward strikes out on a ball practicaly in the dirt.

So they put Lyons on the roster and didn't use him when they needed to get out a lefty. Brilliant.

At this point I just want it to be over. This is like a bandaid being slowly pulled off.

I'm not sure I know what Matheny is doing.

That wasn't too nerve-wracking.

I can't watch these assholes celebrate.

What a colossal failure by the lineup. Cards knocked Arrieta and Hammel around, but could only muster three runs against this dumpster fire of a Cubs bullpen. That's hideous.

So given the circumstances, and the rivalry, I know this seems bizarre....
I find myself hoping the Cubs win it all. It's been over 100 years, it's a great team they have put together, and a fan base who will clearly appreciate it. Can't root for the AL really, although I could cheer for the Royals or Astros if they made it, and I hate the Mets and Dodgers....
Am I alone?

"Am I alone?"
Yep. At least from me. I'm not going to root for a glorified slow pitch softball team that plays in a Pony League park in front of the most myopic fans in American sports to win a World Series. They don't field well, they don't pitch well whenn Arietta isn't on the mound and they're cocky as hell. Fuck the Cubs, and fuck their fans. Especially Jim Belushi, John Cusack and the rest of their stupid C-list celebrity followers.

Yeah, I'm with Artie. There's no way in hell I'll root for the Cubs. Ever.

Fair enough, I'm happy to though. I have far more reason to cheer for the Cubs than I do any other team still alive. I have no reason whatsoever to cheer on the Mets, and I'd rather eat my own shit than root for the 300 million a year Dodgers. There's enough "home grown" in Chicago's lineup to make me enjoy what they've built. Arrieta was an A+ move by them.
On the American League side? I'm not rooting for Toronto to do anything after watching their bullshit against the Rangers yesterday. I'd throw at Batista every time I saw him after that shit. The Royals? That means putting a ring on Cueto's finger, and I'd rather see the Cubs win honestly.
So, Go Cubs.
